Exporting ChatGPT Canvas Content

The ChatGPT to Word or PDF extension also supports exporting content from Canvas mode, available in ChatGPT’s GPT-4 and team accounts.

How to Export Canvas Content

To export a canvas:

1. Maximize the canvas so that it is fully open on the screen.
   (Note: The export only works when the canvas is open in full view.)

2. Once maximized, look at the top right corner of the canvas.

3. Click the Word or PDF button to export the canvas content in your desired format.

These buttons will behave differently based on the current view:

• If the Canvas is open, clicking Word/PDF will export the Canvas content only.
• If the Canvas is closed, the same buttons will export the entire conversation instead.

What Gets Exported

When exporting from canvas mode:

• Only the visible canvas content is exported.
• The structure, formatting, and math (if present) are preserved.

Tip: Use this feature to export structured or visual outputs created in Canvas mode without capturing unrelated parts of the conversation.
