Troubleshooting

If you’re experiencing issues with the ChatGPT to Word or PDF Chrome extension, here are some common problems and how to resolve them.

Export buttons not showing

  • Make sure you’re on a ChatGPT page: The extension only activates on page chatgpt.com/your-chat-id.
  • Refresh the page: After installing or updating the extension, reload the ChatGPT tab.
  • Disable conflicting extensions: Some extensions that alter ChatGPT’s UI can interfere. Try disabling them temporarily.

File not downloading

  • Check browser permissions: Ensure that Chrome is allowed to download files. Navigate to Chrome settings → Privacy and security → Site settings → Automatic downloads.
  • Look for blocked popups: Some browsers may block downloads automatically. Check your address bar for download warnings.
  • Try again: Occasionally, a network or rendering delay can prevent the file from generating. Click the button again after a few seconds.

License not recognized

  • Verify you entered the correct key: Ensure there are no spaces or typos.
  • Refresh the ChatGPT tab after entering your license in the popup.
  • Still not working? Contact us at vikram@thinksolv.com with your license key, and we’ll help you out. We typically respond to emails within 4 hours. Our time zone is IST (GMT +5:30).

Monthly usage limit reached (Free plan)

  • Free plan users are limited to a 10 single exports and 3 full conversation exports per month.
  • Consider upgrading to a paid plan for higher limits and premium support.

Extension not working in Microsoft Edge

  • Microsoft Edge supports Chrome extensions. Visit the Edge Add-ons Store, or enable extension installation from the Chrome Web Store in your Edge settings.
  • Once installed, the extension works the same as in Chrome.
